It is my privilege to welcome you to the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Somayya Institute of Technology, Chandrapur, affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere. Aeronautical Engineering is one of the most dynamic and challenging branches of engineering, driving innovations in aviation, aerospace, defence, unmanned aerial systems, and advanced manufacturing. As India continues its journey towards becoming a global leader in aerospace technology through initiatives such as Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and the rapidly growing aviation and drone sectors, the demand for highly skilled aeronautical engineers continues to increase. At our department, we are committed to providing quality technical education that combines strong theoretical foundations with practical exposure, innovation, and industry relevance. The curriculum prescribed by DBATU is complemented through laboratory experimentation, project-based learning, industrial visits, internships, expert lectures, technical workshops, and participation in national-level competitions. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Somayya Institute of Technology, Chandrapur, affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere, is committed to providing quality education in the field of aerospace and aviation technology.
